About this tag
KB2687623 is a security update for Microsoft Office 2010. Users on Windows 7 64-bit systems have reported installation failures, often due to a mismatch between the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Office. The update may fail if the Office installation is 32-bit on a 64-bit Windows system, or if the wrong update version is downloaded. Some users also experience issues with multiple updates failing to install, possibly due to system restore settings or other conflicts. Troubleshooting steps include verifying the Office bitness and downloading the correct update from the Microsoft website.
