After discovering that KB2975719 on Windows 8.1 crashes certain *.mov files, yet again, Microsoft released another update on November 11 which took 30 minutes or so to go through my computer. Yet again, KB2975719 returned to my computer which of course caused the .mov files to...
The august update has been re released (KB2975719). It looks like you should uninstall the earlier one, if you see it in your list, otherwise some minor problems have been reported. All went fine for me on a couple of laptops and a stationary it is listed as "optional" so it is your choice..
Do I understand correctly that ..............
1. That optional KB2975719 is also included in the 14 or 15 updates we received on August 12th.
2. It is primarily meant for IT Developers who would use it to do " tests ".
I hid it based on the above understandings.

I went looking for the infamous "Auguust 12th updates" as I don't see any from my Windows Updates.
