About this tag
The tag 'leap' on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about Cisco LEAP (Lightweight Extensible Authentication Protocol) authentication in Windows environments. Users report issues with LEAP support in Windows 7 and Vista, often requiring third-party tools like Intel ProSet to enable the protocol. Topics include troubleshooting LEAP connectivity, configuring authentication for enterprise wireless networks, and comparing LEAP to other security protocols like WPA2. The tag also appears in a broader context referencing 'leap day' in relation to Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Content focuses on practical solutions for enabling LEAP on Windows systems, particularly for users in institutional settings that rely on legacy Cisco access points.

Anyone figure out how to use Cisco LEAP on Windows 7? Normally on Vista, you install the Intel ProSet utils and LEAP is then available as an authentication protocol - but that is not true on Windows 7 - it's a pain to use wired networking at work --- WPA2 works fine at home.
Hi, I can connect to a WPA network at home, but at work when I try to connect to our LEAP network I can not - and do not see a LEAP option when I try to manually set up the connection - any ideas?
