I have a shortcut to "Libraries" on my taskbar. It's there by default and when I noticed you could pin stuff to it, I decided to make use of it instead of remove it. I right clicked the shortcut, and noticed the "recent" category. I right clicked two of those folders and pinned them there...

After sensing that there may be some problems with .NET Framework 3.5, I decided to reinstall it. I uninstalled it and downloaded the install file, but the install file wouldn't run. I then found out that .NET Framework 3.5 is either enabled or disabled using the "Turn Windows Features On Or...

Here's the scenario:
I have two PC's with Windows 7. They're both members of the same HomeGroup. They can see and access each others libraries through HomeGroup sharing. All that is fine, but there something specific I want to achieve.
I want to share a standard folder to my HomeGroup. Now...
Hello all,
I am a brand new member. Been using the 7 ever since the Beta version.
Now to the point: Windows update just stopped corresponding with Microsoft Update Server(or that is what I think is the problem). I am attaching an image of what I am getting - no error code(making it a nightmare...

Lately when I open Windows Explorer, the pane on the left only lists "Favorites" and "Libraries" with magnifying glass on each as if it is searching. It does not list the contents of those folders and does not list "computer" or "network". I have to restart to get those things back. What gives?

Microsoft has tried to fix this, but the problem still remains......See recent comments at the bottom.
New complaint with Explorer 9 "Refresh Button" doesn't refresh. This has also been reported after downloading Chrome Frame. :-@
This issue seems a little weird.
I have a desktop and a laptop at home running windows 7.
They can both see each other, and share files freely, over the network.
When I start a homegroup on the desktop, the wizard stops at the Caution symbol screen where it declares it's "currently sharing...
I have two icons on my desktop that don't just seem to be just Icons. Not sure how they got there!! I must have done something! One is Libraries and the other is Homegroup. I don't want a Libraries icon on desktop and I don't want to set up a Homegroup at all. Neither of these offer a 'delete'...

Is there a way to remove the Control Panel icon from the drop-down in the Windows Explorer address bar? (See image below)
While I'm at it, I wouldn't mind removing Libraries and Network either :)
Thank you

I want to know how to change my registry in order to do the following:
#1 Force all actions that would create/use/edit/modify/(any other verb) any file in the libraries folder to instead preform that action in the My Documents folder instead.
#2 Git rid of the Libraries icon.

I'm running Win 7 64bit Home Premium and I have 3 problems that are driving me nuts.
The First one: On one of my flash drives I suddenly have three 0 bit files showing up. No names on the files, just symbols. One is like an upside down, backward "L". The other 2 are listed with a "C" with a...
