About this tag
LightDM is a display manager commonly used in Linux distributions like Ubuntu. Forum discussions show LightDM appearing in system logs during troubleshooting, such as when Ubuntu crashes after startup or when a browser freezes. Users may encounter LightDM-related errors in journalctl output, including PAM module issues or daemon control file problems. While LightDM itself is not a Windows topic, these posts reflect real-world troubleshooting scenarios where LightDM logs help diagnose system instability. The tag covers LightDM error messages, restarting the display manager from a terminal, and interpreting LightDM-related crash reports in Linux environments.
