About this tag
The links toolbar is a customizable toolbar in Windows that provides quick access to favorite websites or folders. In Windows 7, users can add a Links toolbar to the taskbar, but changing a theme may cause links to trigger an 'Open File Security Warning' instead of opening normally, even with UAC disabled. In Windows 8.1, the taskbar includes a Windows logo button and a right-click Power Users Menu with shutdown options. The links toolbar remains a useful feature for organizing shortcuts, though troubleshooting may be needed after theme changes or system updates.
