login items
About this tag
Login items are apps configured to launch automatically when you start your Windows computer. Users sometimes encounter issues where these apps reset their startup settings unexpectedly, requiring manual reconfiguration. This can be frustrating, especially when multiple apps are needed daily. Common causes include system updates, third-party software interference, or corrupted user profiles. Troubleshooting steps may involve checking Task Manager's Startup tab, reviewing app-specific settings, or using Windows Security to scan for malware. If the problem persists, creating a new user profile or performing a system restore might help. Understanding how login items work can improve your startup experience and save time.
Hello,
Apps I've set to turn on on startup actually reset by themselves. I can't tell what instigates it. If I change the app's settings and restart my computer, the app doesn't reset. But, when my computer is off for the night, the setting is reset to not turn on on startup.
