About this tag
The low performance tag on WindowsForum.com covers issues where Windows systems experience degraded performance, particularly in gaming scenarios. Common problems include 100% disk usage causing low FPS in Windows 8.1, BSOD crashes during games like Skyrim, and sudden frame rate drops in titles such as FEAR. Users often report that hardware is sufficient but software or driver issues lead to poor performance. Discussions focus on troubleshooting steps like driver updates, system reinstallation, and analyzing dump files to identify root causes. The tag is relevant for users seeking solutions to lag, stuttering, or unexpected slowdowns on Windows PCs.
