max usage
About this tag
Discussions tagged with 'max usage' on WindowsForum.com focus on the System Protection feature in Windows, where users set a maximum disk space percentage for restore points and file version history. A common issue is that the 'max usage' setting fails to save, reverting to a default value like 50% after being changed to a lower percentage. This can affect the availability of previous file versions in the File Properties dialog. The tag also appears in broader contexts about monitoring data traffic, but the primary recurring theme is troubleshooting the System Protection max usage configuration in Windows.
When i change the 'max usage' setting in 'System Protection' to 5% from 50% then press 'Apply' and 'OK', and when i come back later i see that it has changed itself back to 50% again. Why wont it save the settings?

Yeah, right - the grocer would never get away with that, but ISP's do. There is reliable...
