I have Win 8.1 and don't like what I have been reading about Defender.
Could I get a time tested opinion about a free a/v and firewall combo?
I have MBAM with SpywareBlaster and Defender. if you think that is good enough please comment.
I use Defender with Win 8.1 and MBAM. I also use Spyware Blaster am behind a router.
Since I have added SUPERAntiSpyware I find a lot of pups and tracking cookies.
MBAM does not have a quick scan any more - it is a 5 minute threat scan.
I know I can uncheck tracking cookies and pups from SAS...
For some reason, I just ran MBAM, even though it had only been a couple of days since I last ran it, and it found the malware shown in the screenshot:
I don't know what 4 of them are about, but trojan.banker caught my eye right away. I had MBAM delete them and am now also running a full scan...
