The meeting recordings tag covers Microsoft Teams changes affecting how past meeting material is organized and analyzed. Current coverage includes the planned Recap app, which is designed to gather eligible recordings, transcripts, and summaries from the previous 30 days into one destination across Windows, Mac, and the web. The app serves as an index for material that already exists; it does not independently record, transcribe, or summarize meetings. The tag also follows Microsoft’s cancellation of a planned Teams Copilot feature that would have analyzed content shared from a participant’s desktop during recorded meetings, including the change to its expected August 2026 availability.
