About this tag
The membrane keyboards tag on WindowsForum.com collects discussion of keyboards that use membrane switch construction rather than mechanical switches, including compact gaming models that keep a full number pad while reducing overall footprint. Coverage looks at value-oriented options such as the HyperX Eve 1800, weighing price and starter appeal against layout quirks and the tradeoffs of leaving mechanical switches out. Because these keyboards connect to Windows PCs and often rely on companion software for lighting and configuration, related setup notes and hands-on impressions appear alongside the hardware discussion.
