    Windows 7 Every time i use an external hard drive, Windows 7 freezes.

    Problem solved. Turned the laptop on today and Windows 7 flagged the problem for me, and helped me download a new driver for the memory card reader. Only issue now is the hard drives aren't recognised, but plenty of solutions seem to be around for that.
