About this tag
The metro menu tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about the Windows 8 and 8.1 Start screen, often referred to as the Metro Menu. Topics include troubleshooting issues such as missing right-click properties bars, uninstalled apps still appearing in search results, and difficulties accessing a traditional Start menu. Users also explore customization options, like hiding the toolbar for full-screen applications, and third-party tools that simulate a classic Start menu experience. The tag reflects user experiences with the Metro interface, including frustrations with its full-screen nature and workarounds for integrating it with the taskbar.
