About this tag
The microsoft reactor tag on WindowsForum.com follows discussion of Microsoft's Reactor open-source repository and the developer samples built from it. The most recent example is a WinUI 3 Registry Editor sample that reads and writes the real Windows Registry rather than a mock-up, which community coverage is careful to distinguish from any supported replacement for regedit.exe. Coverage centers on what such samples mean for Windows developers: modern WinUI 3 controls, open-source code you can compile yourself, and the gap between an interesting demonstration and a shipped administration tool. Expect thread discussion of Microsoft developer tooling rather than end-user Windows troubleshooting.
