About this tag
The mpo tag on WindowsForum.com collects discussion of Multi-Plane Overlay, the Windows display feature that can interact with GPU drivers to cause flicker, black or white flashes, brightness shifts, and colour corruption. The tagged content centres on Nvidia's GeForce Game Ready 616.56 driver and the narrower 616.92 fix, which addresses intermittent browser flicker rather than every desktop, game, monitor, colour-depth, or refresh-rate symptom reported across GTX 16-, RTX 30-, RTX 40-, and RTX 50-series cards. It is useful for readers troubleshooting post-update display problems and weighing whether MPO or the driver is the likely cause.
