MS10-018 is a Microsoft security bulletin addressing a critical vulnerability in Internet Explorer that could allow remote code execution. Issued on March 30, 2010, as part of the response to Microsoft Security Advisory 981374, this update resolves the Uninitialized Memory Corruption Vulnerability (CVE-2010-0806). The vulnerability was publicly reported and could be exploited by an attacker who hosts a specially crafted website designed to corrupt memory. Successful exploitation could give the attacker the same user rights as the logged-on user. Users are advised to apply the security update provided in MS10-018 to protect their systems.
