ms11-050

About this tag
MS11-050 is a critical security update for Internet Explorer that resolves eleven privately reported vulnerabilities. The most severe of these could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted webpage. An attacker who successfully exploits any of these vulnerabilities could gain the same user rights as the local user. The update also includes defense-in-depth changes addressing a memory address leak issue. Users with accounts configured to have fewer user rights on the system are less affected. This update is part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to patch security flaws in Internet Explorer.
