About this tag
The mssmbios tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions related to the Microsoft System Management BIOS (MSSMBIOS) driver, often encountered in the context of Windows kernel debugging and system crashes. In tagged threads, users analyze memory dump files using tools like WinDbg to troubleshoot Event 41 kernel power errors, which indicate unexpected system shutdowns. The mssmbios driver is referenced in debug output during these analyses, typically when examining kernel summary dumps. Topics include interpreting debugger output, symbol search paths, and resolving system instability issues linked to power events. The tag is relevant for advanced users and IT professionals performing post-crash diagnostics on Windows systems.
Hi,
My computer freezes randomly. The error in event viewer is "event 41 kernel power 63". I had tried windbg. I am neither a developer, nor an expert. I am new to this forum. Below is the code generated from whatever little analysis I could do.
I'd be grateful, if anyone can help me out.
