I had an old ws parked in the garage since 2017 (cus he was giving me lots of BSOD headaches since Win10) and now with lockdown I decided to give it to my daughter to do her schooling in order to save wife's notebook. It is an old machine dating almost (old)10 years with 2 SSDs (from OCZ, long...

Hello all,
Since a week ago my File Share server has been slow to open the "root" folder. Opening a folder via the path in the explorer is immediate.
Anyone with this problem?
This only happens with Windows 10, when I try to access File Share through a Windows Server, it's immediate/normal...

I have a Lenovo N22 laptop running a fully updated Windows 10 Pro (20H2). A week ago I had a Netgear router running with a private class C LAN IP address range. The router was at address 204.107.91.254. Everything on my network worked fine, including the Lenovo.
The Netgear router turned out to...
When I setup a connection (LAN or WLAN) I have to define if this connection should be part of a "public" or "private" network.
This network type is only important for accesses and issues INSIDE the current (LAN) network segment until the next router.
It is NOT relevant for accesses from outside...
Hi,
I bought my dad a smart WiFi bulb but he's having trouble with it. Amazon has advised me to check "Please ensure the "Set AP Client Isolation" function on the router is disabled.".
There appears to be no function on out bt homehub with this wording, is there another way to do this...

I installed my copy of win 8.1 pro. Everything seemed to work as it should. But after I upgraded to win10, I got a special problem with the wired connection to the network! Have never experienced anything like this before! As long as I surfed the web it went well, but when I would watch svt...
I have 6 PCs, all with Windows 10, and I would like to be able to share files between all of them. Perhaps my Main PC could have a Network Shared Folder on it, and then I would leave the Main PC on, and all the PCs would be able to access this Network Shared Folder. What is the best way to set...

After losing my internet for no apparent reason, I did a Network reset and rebooted which fixed the problem.
A few days after I fired up my AMPPS server and could no longer access any of my local Wordpress sites.
I realized the Network reset had changed my IPv4 from...

Hi Support,

Hi All Experts,
I met the issue when I tried to use the netsh trace on Windows 10 build 685.
In previous version 630, I use the netsh trace with persist=yes to record the network message and all as normal whatever I restart the OS.
But after I update my Windows 10 to build 685, every time...
I changed the name on one my network computers and now I cannot access. A pop-up asking me for credentials? Top line says; "enter Network Credentials", next line says, "Enter Your Credentials". I have tried most previous passwords that I can recall without success.

Hi,
The weirdest thing I have seen......

credentials, however Machine A is hit or miss with connecting to Machine B (Machine B can always connect to A without issue). In the...
I have two HP laptops, both running 20H2 with the latest updates. A problem that existed before the upgrade did not go away after the upgrade like I thought it would.
Both machines are networked through an Ethernet switch to the router and to a printer. I have shared folders on both laptops...
So I always pair my laptop with my phone; use my mobile hotspot for the Internet. Lately, I have been experiencing some issues while reconnecting.

Greetings !!
I always had this message enter credentials when connecting to network LAN.
Done disabling network credentials and local policy and turn off password protected sharing on advanced sharing options. But still I got this message "enter your credentials".
Thanks in advance
