About this tag
The no cd tag covers discussions about installing or repairing Windows without a physical CD or DVD. Users ask how to install Windows 10 without a flash drive, CD, or DVD, and how to install Windows 7 without an actual CD. Others seek to upgrade Windows 7 without a CD or USB drive, or to reinstall Vista using only a product key when no installation CD came with the computer. Troubleshooting topics include startup repair issues on a computer that did not receive a CD, and a game patch that includes a no CD component causing errors. The tag focuses on practical solutions for installations and repairs when optical media is unavailable.
