About this tag
The 'no os' tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about computers that lack an operating system or display a 'No Operating System Found' error. Common scenarios include installing Windows on a blank SSD, recovering from a black screen or BSOD that leads to a missing OS, and dual-boot issues where GRUB changes cause the OS to disappear. Users often seek guidance on installing Windows from scratch on a system with no OS, troubleshooting sudden boot failures, and repairing the bootloader. The tag also touches on related hardware topics like SSD upgrades and older Windows versions. These threads provide practical advice for diagnosing and resolving OS absence problems on Windows PCs.
