non-authoritative
About this tag
The tag non-authoritative on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about non-authoritative synchronization in Windows Server environments, particularly with DFSR (Distributed File System Replication) for SYSVOL folders. Topics include troubleshooting DFSR replication failures, performing non-authoritative syncs to resolve initial sync states, and comparing authoritative versus non-authoritative restoration methods. Users share experiences with domain controllers running Windows Server 2012 and 2016, focusing on replication issues across multiple domain controllers. The tag is relevant for IT professionals managing Active Directory and DFSR replication.
