About this tag
The nvidia demo tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussion of a free Steam demo Nvidia released to mark 20 years of the GeForce 8800 GTX. The thread focuses on the demo's hardware requirements, which drew complaints: it lists an RTX 4070 and 32GB of RAM as minimums, so a 2006-era PC cannot run a nostalgia piece about a 2006 graphics card, and many current systems may struggle too. The demo, titled "GeForce 8800 GTX - 20 Years of a Legend," was made by Unreal Engine artist Dylan Browne and lets users unbox the vintage card. Discussion centers on the gap between the retro subject and modern PC hardware demands.
