About this tag
The nvstor64 tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about the nvstor64 driver, which is associated with NVIDIA storage controllers. Users report recurring nvstor64 errors, often type 3, that cause system freezes, hangs, and require a hard shutdown. These errors typically appear in the Windows Event Log under Device\RaidPort0 and are linked to storage devices like Hitachi hard drives. Common troubleshooting steps attempted include changing power settings, running CHKDSK, Windows Memory Diagnostic, SFC /scannow, and virus scans, but the errors persist. The tag focuses on resolving nvstor64-related stability issues in Windows systems.

Bottom line up front - my PC is having repeated nvstor64 type 3 errors which cause it to hang and the only way to restart it is to hold the power button in until it shuts down. Help!
