nzxt sentry 2
About this tag
The NZXT Sentry 2 is a touch screen fan controller that manages case fans, but users report it does not control the CPU fan directly. In Windows 7, CPU fan speed is typically managed through the BIOS or motherboard software, not through the Sentry 2. This limitation can lead to high noise levels from the CPU fan, as the Sentry 2 only adjusts connected case fans. For CPU fan control, users must access BIOS settings or use motherboard-specific utilities. The NZXT Sentry 2 remains a popular choice for custom fan control in PC builds, but it is not a solution for CPU fan noise issues.
Please let me know where in Windows 7 I need to go to adjust the CPU fan speed? The NZXT Sentry 2 touch screen fan control adjusts the other fans but doesn't work on the CPU fan.
My wife has to wear ear muffs to work on this computer because of the sound from this fan and that's mighty...
