    Windows 7 Windows7 Password Reset (Location of Registry/SAM?)

    I've forgotten my windows 7 password to the admin account and so now I'm using Offline NT & Registry Editor to try and reset it. I keep getting stuck on step TWO: Select PATH and registry files. The default is not working and I have no idea what else to try, thanks in advance :frown:

    Windows 7 A silly, frustrating mistake.

    I was forced to change my user password this afternoon... And abruptly forgot it. I've attempted the fix here: Offline NT Password & Registry Editor but I hit a snag on step two, which asks for the "path to the registry directory". What do I input?
