About this tag
The optical drive japan tag covers the continued availability and demand for built-in Blu-ray and BDXL drives in Japanese-market laptops, as exemplified by Fujitsu's FMV Note A family. While Western markets have largely moved away from internal optical drives, Japan retains a strong consumer preference for physical media, including collectible Blu-ray anime box sets and music releases.
