overlapping
About this tag
The overlapping tag on WindowsForum.com covers user-reported issues where UI elements, windows, or partitions overlap unexpectedly. Common themes include taskbar overlapping maximized windows, program windows cutting off buttons due to DPI scaling, and label printing where cells shift and overlap. One thread discusses overlapping partitions on a disk and data recovery. Another mentions Facebook images opening behind the page in Metro mode. A developer thread on WinAppSDK covers windowing modes but does not focus on overlapping. These discussions span Windows desktop, Metro, and printing scenarios, with troubleshooting often involving display settings or partition recovery tools.

Clicking on an image opens it behind the already-displayed page, meaning I\'ve got text and images overlapping. This only happens in Metro, not in Desktop. I hope...
I know you can remove the taskbar and put the dock in it's place, but programs will overlap have different Z coordinates but the X and Y coordinates will overlap. Is there a way to make the programs have the same Z coordinates as the dock, or block other programs from maximizing in the space...

I have already tried Adjust screen resolution / Adjust font size / Adjust DPI / Adjust clear type but no luck there...
