About this tag
The ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard is a legacy LGA775 board that supports Core 2 Quad processors like the Q6600 and up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM. Users have reported issues with partial black screens on wakeup, often linked to graphics driver conflicts or power management settings. Another common problem is the onboard Marvell Gigabit Ethernet controller only operating at 100 Mbps after a fresh Windows 7 install, likely due to missing or incorrect drivers. Memory detection issues also arise, such as a system with 5GB of RAM only showing 3.2GB, which may require BIOS adjustments or a 64-bit OS. These threads focus on troubleshooting hardware compatibility and driver challenges specific to this older ASUS motherboard.
Hopefully you guys can help me out since this is driving me insane. When I wake the computer from sleep mode, my monitor displays an image that is half blacked out. If I mouse over the black areas or maximize a new window, then those areas show up. I have no idea what is causing it.
