About this tag
The padding tag on WindowsForum.com covers user discussions about adjusting spacing and margins in the Windows desktop and file explorer interface. Common topics include reducing icon spacing on the desktop, minimizing padding around thumbnails in folder views, and tweaking the empty space around files for easier selection. The tag also includes a security advisory about the ASP.NET Padding Oracle Vulnerability (CVE-2010-3332), which relates to a cryptographic padding issue in Microsoft's ASP.NET framework. This shows the tag spans both UI customization and security contexts within Windows and Microsoft technologies.
