pc not starting
About this tag
The 'pc not starting' tag on WindowsForum.com covers troubleshooting scenarios where a computer fails to boot normally. Common issues include startup interruptions prompting BIOS entry for date/time settings or default configuration, often related to motherboard CMOS battery failure or BIOS corruption. Users report problems with home-built systems featuring older hardware such as Asus motherboards, Intel Core 2 Quad processors, and DDR2 memory. Solutions typically involve replacing the CMOS battery, resetting BIOS settings, or updating firmware. The tag focuses on diagnostic steps for PCs that power on but do not complete the boot process, with emphasis on hardware and BIOS-level fixes rather than software or operating system issues.
On start up is interrupted asking to press either f1 to get in Bios to sort it out & set date/time or f2 for defaults.
Whichever I choose it still does same on every star up. Can you help?
