About this tag
The pico11 tag on WindowsForum.com covers a proof-of-concept Windows 11 image built with an unreleased tool called Pico11, reported to fit an entire installer and working desktop onto a single 700 MB CD-ROM. The tagged discussion centers on developer NTDEV's demo, which strips Windows Update and other components to shrink the ISO to roughly 699,811,840 bytes, and on what that experiment reveals about how much of a modern Windows ISO is optional. Coverage stays focused on this size-reduction demo and the questions it raises about Windows 11 installation media rather than general Windows 11 news.
