About this tag
The processor cooling tag on WindowsForum.com collects discussion about keeping CPUs within safe operating temperatures, with a focus on how published specifications translate into real hardware choices. A recurring theme is TDP and how Intel PBP/MTP and AMD PPT figures affect cooler and power supply sizing, since the numbers on a cooler box, CPU box, and PSU calculator often disagree. Threads here examine what those ratings actually mean for desktop builds and where common assumptions fall short. The content suits readers comparing cooling options or checking whether an existing cooler and PSU can handle a given processor.
