project assignments

The project assignments tag on WindowsForum.com follows how Microsoft ties people to the work they are allowed to see and book against. Recent discussion centers on Dynamics 365 Business Central and its Expense Agent web app, where a planned change would limit the projects and tasks shown to an employee to only those where that person is assigned as a resource. The thread notes the practical benefit of preventing expenses from being booked to the wrong customer job, and tracks the roadmap entry marked In development for Worldwide Standard Multi-Tenant cloud, with preview planned for October 2026 and general availability in December 2026.
