About this tag
This tag covers discussions about promotional copies of Windows software, specifically Windows 7 Ultimate x86 obtained during Microsoft's 'The New Efficiency' event in Detroit in October 2009. In one thread, a user with such a promotional copy reports that Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) stopped working on their Windows 7 machine, while the same device syncs successfully on an XP laptop. The content highlights compatibility issues between promotional Windows versions and mobile device synchronization tools.
