About this tag
The pvr-150 tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about the Hauppauge PVR-150 TV tuner card, primarily in the context of building home theater PCs (HTPCs) running Windows 7. Users share their system builds that include the PVR-150 for recording and watching cable TV, often alongside other components like graphics cards and sound cards. Common issues involve driver compatibility, memory detection problems on Windows 7 x64, and display quality when connecting to a TV via S-video. The tag reflects troubleshooting and setup advice for integrating the PVR-150 into a Windows-based media center.
Building an HTPC has long been a challenge I wanted to tackle. I wanted a system that would be able to watch/record cable, play Blu-rays and also play some games. My build:
Intel Core Duo CPU
ASUS P5Q-E
4 Gb DDR2-800
EVGA Gtx 260 Core 216
LG GBW-H20L BD-R
Enermax 625W

Hey Guys,
I installed Windows 7 x64 today and when i opened the system information tool, it shows 3.25GB usable.
So, i checked with task manager and it shows the same 3326(3.25) to my surprise.
How is this possible on a x64 OS?
Memory mapping is on 32 bit if i am not wrong...

Hello, I installed Windows 7 last night.
Everything is pretty astounishing, Windows is snappy, gets to the point even with my aging computer.
However, I'm having a few problems:
