reset dns

About this tag
The reset dns tag covers troubleshooting steps for DNS server not responding errors on Windows. Common issues include DNS cache corruption or misconfiguration, requiring users to flush and reset DNS settings. Recurring themes involve persistent problems where DNS resolution fails after reboot, necessitating repeated manual resets. Solutions often include using ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /registerdns commands, checking network adapter settings, or resetting Winsock. The tag is relevant for Windows users experiencing intermittent or permanent DNS failures, especially when browsing the web or accessing network resources.
