Is there a way to keep win 10 from constantly searching for updates other than disabling it's service? I notice tiworker.exe is constantly draining my pc (i'm guessing here) I haven't noticed any other process's using lots of resources.

After a certain amount of idle time, Windows 10 devices may dim the display, activate the lock screen, or power down the display in order to conserve power. The amount of idle time required before this occurs depends on a device’s user settings. Unfortunately, this can turn out to be an...

Why hasn't or isn't Microsoft building an operating system (OS) exclusively for desktop PC gaming? Something similar to Xbox OS optimized for desktop, mouse and keyboard.
With Xbox OS already existing and running on very similar hardware to desktop PC, why isn't there a version for desktop PC...

I found out that Retro UI is a good app as a start menu. The reason is that it allows you to still use the start screen if you want to and adds a task bar at the bottom of your start screen. So, you can use the start screen as an improved desktop. I could be wrong so please correct me if I am...

Hi
I was reading the post in the Windows 7 forum, about Microsoft's message that Security Essentials is not meant to be the only AV software that you run on your computer and that they may be dropping support for it.
Does that mean that they want you to run 2 antivirus programs?
I already...

I used to buy “Balance Bars”. I bought them for years. Then one day I noticed their proud announcement of a “bold new look”. That new look went beyond the box. The US RDA percentage of every vitamin and mineral went from 25% to 15%. They became a nutrition bar that, in its “new and improved”...
