About this tag
The safeos phase is a stage in the Windows update process where the system verifies the integrity and security of the operating system before applying changes. In a Windows 11 Home environment, users have reported issues such as DNS resolution failures and disabled Windows Firewall services after updates. Troubleshooting steps often involve running DISM commands to repair the system image, which may include the safeos phase to ensure a clean and secure update. This phase is critical for maintaining system stability and security during Windows updates.
