screen resizing
About this tag
Screen resizing on Windows can involve accidental touchpad triggers, manual window border adjustments, or customizing the snap assist feature. Users report unwanted resizing while typing, often due to touchpad sensitivity. Others struggle to find the double-arrow cursor for manual resizing, especially after upgrading from XP to Windows 7. Advanced users may want to modify the default 50/50 snap split, but custom ratios like two-thirds and one-third are not natively supported in Windows settings or the registry. These threads cover troubleshooting accidental resizing, locating resize handles, and limitations of built-in window management.
When I type, sometimes the screen will resize. Sometimes the page will go to the previous page. Sometimes something gets submitted without being ready.
Ok, not technical, but I try. I just got Win 7 after xp. I attempted to resize my font size, screen image size and make pages FIT the screen, with limited success. Then I tried to use my cursor (suggested to me) to go to my monitor's borders, but the double arrow does not appear. It doesn't...
When I press Win-Left/Right, the current window snaps to the edge of the screen and is resized to half a screen.
I want to customize the feature: i.e. I want snapping to the left make a window two thirds of the screen and snapping to the right one third.
Is that possible? Google found nothing...
