About this tag
The secure link tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about connectivity issues where certain applications fail to establish a secure connection while others work fine. In one example, a Windows 7 user reported that iTunes, Internet Explorer 7, and MSN could not connect to the internet, while Firefox and Skype functioned normally. The iTunes diagnostic specifically indicated a secure link failure to the iTunes Store. This tag is relevant for troubleshooting selective internet connectivity problems in Windows, particularly when secure connections are involved. It may include error codes like 80048820 and issues with network diagnostics not identifying the problem.

Windows Vista iTunes, IE7, and MSN not connecting to internet, Firefox fine
I've been using W7 just fine for several weeks, but recently when I logged on my iTunes, IE7 and MSN could not connect to the internet. Firefox and Skype, however, do it just fine with no problems. I am completely clueless as to what could be the culprit in such a selective way. Any ideas...- revenant
