ShadowDraw is an interactive assistant for freehand drawing that was showcased at TechFest 2011. It automatically recognizes what you are trying to draw and suggests new pen strokes for you to trace. As you draw, ShadowDraw refines its models in real time and provides updated suggestions. It contains a large database of images with objects that users might want to draw. Edges from matching images are merged and shown as suggested shadow strokes, which users can trace to improve their drawings. This technology aims to help people sketch or draw better by providing real-time guidance.
