About this tag
The tag 'solid equipment' on WindowsForum.com refers to older, well-built hardware that users seek to keep operational on modern Windows systems. Discussions involve troubleshooting compatibility issues, such as finding drivers for legacy devices like the Roland CDR-II drive on Windows 7. Users share experiences with durable equipment from earlier eras and seek community help to overcome driver or connectivity challenges, often involving adapters like DB25 to USB. The tag highlights the intersection of vintage hardware reliability and current Windows operating system limitations.
I have a Roland CDR-II drive which was purchased several years ago as a stand alone device.
I have been unable to locate the drivers required to make this device functional.
This device uses a db25 to usb adaptor. It appears Win 7 is incapable of handling this situation.
