ssl errors

About this tag
SSL errors on Windows can be triggered by malware that alters system date and time settings, as seen in a forum thread where a recurring virus resets the date to January 1, 2011, causing SSL certificate validation failures. Users report that antivirus scans may not fully resolve the issue, suggesting the malware interferes with security tools. Troubleshooting such SSL errors often involves checking system time, running thorough malware scans, and ensuring antivirus definitions are up to date. This tag covers discussions about SSL errors linked to malware, time manipulation, and related Windows security challenges.
