About this tag
The startupcommand tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about running executables with custom resolutions via batch files or command line, as well as technical issues related to the Win32_StartupCommand WMI class. Topics include using the START command in batch scripts to launch games or applications with specific attributes, and a known Microsoft issue where loaded user profiles cannot be unloaded after querying Win32_StartupCommand, affecting Windows Vista, Server 2008, Windows 7, and Server 2008 R2. Users also troubleshoot startup problems like a black desktop or superbar, which may be linked to startup commands or drivers. The tag is relevant for Windows system administrators and power users dealing with startup scripts, WMI queries, and profile management.
