steam guard

The steam guard tag on WindowsForum.com collects discussion of Valve's Steam Guard account protection, with a focus on the mobile authenticator rather than the older email code option. Coverage walks through setting up the Steam Mobile app authenticator, confirming it is active, and handling the problems that follow: lost or unrecorded recovery codes, phone clocks that drift and break code entry, and trade holds tied to authenticator status. Because Steam accounts often live on the same Windows PCs people use for work and gaming, the material also touches on keeping that login secure alongside general Windows security habits.
