swf files
About this tag
SWF files are Shockwave Flash files commonly used for web-based games and interactive content. On Windows, users may encounter issues opening SWF files, such as setting a default app like Microsoft Edge to launch them directly. Some SWF files, especially those downloaded from Facebook games, may not play correctly in standalone SWF players, showing only a brief start screen before stopping. Troubleshooting these problems often involves finding a compatible SWF player or adjusting browser settings to enable Flash content.
Is there away to select Edge as the program to open a file? I have a few .SWF game files on my laptop. If I open Edge, and insert the path to the .SWF file, Edge opens the file and I can play the game. But, I can find no way to select Edge as the default app to open the .SWF file.
Any advice...
I downloaded some .swf flash games from Facebook using Internet Download Manager downloader putting
the .swf file extension to its list of downloadable files and tried with some swf players to play those games
and they not operate. It only shows me the start screen for 1 second and then stops...
