About this tag
SyncBackSE is a backup program that users on Windows 7 have reported issues with, including unexpected system shutdowns during backups, failures when Windows assigns a different drive letter to a thumbdrive, and system freezes when copying large files to or from USB drives. These problems often occur alongside virus scans or large file transfers, with symptoms like 100% CPU load before freezing. Users have sought solutions for drive letter locking and troubleshooting shutdowns and freezes related to SyncBackSE usage.

Hi:
I run the backup program, SyncBackSE which among other things backs up files on a thumbdrive. SyncBackSE has been configured to see the thumbdrive as F: but occasionally Windows decides to name it G: and SyncBackSE then fails. Is there a way to tell Windows to lock it to F:? Thanks.
