About this tag
The system block tag on WindowsForum.com covers issues where a Windows PC becomes unresponsive or freezes, often triggered by specific actions like clicking in File Explorer or right-clicking directories. Users report blocks lasting several minutes or causing 'Application not Responding' errors for the whole system. These problems may arise after Windows updates, such as upgrading from Windows 8.0 to 8.1, or during boot with Explorer.exe errors like 'group or resource is not in the correct state.' Discussions focus on troubleshooting these freezes, identifying causes, and finding solutions to restore normal system operation.

Windows 8 PC blocked after right click on directories or left click on File Explorer
Hi, I have already asked for some help on the Windows Forum but I didn't get any reasonable solution to my problem (that is becoming really annoying). I get a block of the PC (sort of "Application not Responding" but for the whole system) as soon as I left click on File Explorer or right click...- Matteo Gagliardi
